We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal routines. While many things have changed over these past few months, our commitment to you along with your health and safety has not.
Infection Control has always been a top priority for our practice. It’s important for us that you feel safe and comfortable, which is why our office follows all infection control recommendations made by the regulatory bodies in the dental field and Ministry of Health.
As of Tuesday, June 9th 2020, Highbury Park Dental will be fully reopened and able to treat all elective patients once again. In light of this re-opening, we wanted to let you know about the extra precautions that are in place to keep you safe during this pandemic, as you may notice some changes when it is time for your next appointment. Keep in mind that we made these changes to help protect our patients and team members.
Some examples of what you will see include:
Only those receiving dental treatment may enter the office. Accompanying parents or caregivers may wait outside the office or in their vehicles. If this is not possible for any reason, please notify us ahead of time. If you have questions regarding the appointment, we would be happy to call you afterwards to discuss.
All patients must fill out a COVID-19 Screening Form at each appointment. This separate form must be filled out for each person coming into the office and submitted when confirming your appointment. If there are any changes in symptoms the day of the appointment, please notify us immediately. We are screening all our staff and patients daily for COVID-19 signs/symptoms. Everyone must have their temperature taken with a non-contact thermometer. We will also take the temperature of every team member at the beginning and end of each day.
Everyone must bring their own mask, scarf, or bandana that covers the mouth and nose upon entering the clinic.
Everyone must use the hand sanitizer upon entering the clinic. You will also find hand sanitizer in all the treatment rooms.
Our waiting area will no longer offer magazines, as they are difficult to clean and disinfect. Only certain chairs will be available to use in order to maintain social distancing.
A pre-rinse mouthwash with 1% Hydrogen peroxide will be provided for all patients.
Modified procedure protocols will be in place to reduce or eliminate airborne aerosols. We have enhanced air purifying measures throughout our office.
We have enhanced Personal Protective Equipment in use throughout our office that exceeds the standards set by Ontario Public Health.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep each and every patient safe.
We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.
Sincerely,
Dr. Achache and his staff at Highbury Park Dental
